The Club
Swanage Badminton Club meets on a Monday evening (19:15-21:00) at the sports hall of The Swanage School and on a Thursday afternoon (13:30-15:00) at Swanage Methodist Church Hall.

We have a mixed level membership and any guests wishing to try out at the club can come along and pay £5 per session, and will be encouraged to join as full members. Subs are currently set to £130 per year.

There are currently over 30 members.
History
Founded in 1918 , we are approaching our centenary, which we aim to mark in a special way (look out for more info in due course). The club has played in a number of venues over the years. The size and range of activities has also varied. The club has produced some very gifted players who have played for Dorset County Teams.
Our mission is to provide facilities and a framework that supports Swanage and its communities in playing Badminton in a friendly and encouraging environment. We aim to ensure a cost effective running of the club by volunteers and to keep costs as affordable as possible.
We welcome players of all ages. For Legal and operational reasons, younger members and their parents/guardians need to accept that they will not be supervised or in a position of being minded by members of the club. The current juniors are a special group in an arrangement agreed with the school that fits with our mission.
